July Food Distributions at Chatham Village Apartments in Orange County
During the month of July, Chatham Village Apartments residents in Orange County received two separate food distributions to keep their homes stocked with food. Just like other food distributions that PSCDC are hosting in San Diego and Imperial, Orange County food distributions are enforcing strict health guidelines to keep everyone safe. Six feet markers continue to be designated for residents to maintain social distancing and residents are now required to wear masks when attending the food distributions. In addition, residents are asked to send only one person per household to attend distributions to keep the number of participants to a minimum.
Our incredible partners at Second Harvest Food Bank, Tustin Family and Youth Center, and the City of Tustin continue to make our Orange food distributions possible with the support and supplies they provide for our residents including fresh produce, dairy products, canned foods, rice and pasta, juice, and more. On July 10th, we provided food for 48 families and on July 17th, we provided food for 49 families. PSCDC continues to look for more opportunities and partners that can assist our residents in Chatham Village during this COVID-19 struggle.
Amidst the middle of a summer surge in coronavirus cases and hospitalization in California, PSCDC is planning to continue hosting our food distributions across California. We are looking to strictly enforce the safety requirements needed to attend food distributions for residents, volunteers, and PSCDC coordinators.
